This model is designed to securely mount a quest 3 (Right) controller to a golf club putter. I made this to use with ‘Walkabout mini-golf’. You can calibrate it in game by going to options, clicking on custom-grip and using the grab button to orientate the virtual club to match your real-life putter. It gives a better feeling of weight for improved immersion. The controller is held by a firm frictional grip using ribs, easy to insert and remove. There are 3 versions. The recommended is the fixed version. You can either slide the holder up the club to the wider part of the shaft for a frictional grip only, or for a more secure fix, print the clamp base and use 2 x M4x16mm screws along with 2 M4 Nuts. (There is a plastic thread beyond the nut inserts if you don't have M4 nuts, but these may wear over time on their own). The adjustable version has a ball joint to change the quest controller angulation. This has a built in support cylinder that should be discarded after printing and a print-in-place captured plastic nut to tighten the holder into the desired angulation. The side mount version uses the ball to screw onto the controller rather than a frictional insert. The ball screw threads are a little tight on my printer and there are too many points of movement for long term use - I suspect this won't be secure enough long term, but I've included it in case it is useful for someone to adapt to a different project. Printing tip:Print with 4 walls and 40% infill to ensure the attachment to club shaft doesn't split between layers when moving up the club to secure with a frictional grip.
