Quest 3 Controller Mounts (Sanlaki style, top-side mounting)
thingiverse
This is my first design of Meta Quest 3 controller mounts. As it turned out the slide-in concept with rubber pads does not work well for the dominant hand controller and heavy gunstocks, as the Sanlaki design with steel pipes. The mount does wobble when moving the gunstock rapidly. Please see the successor design Meta Quest 3 Sleek Controller Mounts, which fits super-tight.DescriptionThese are remix-ready controller mounts for the Meta Quest 3 VR headset, w/o any additions, just the mounts. I did design the mounts for my Sanlaki gunstock remix Magnetic Gunstock (Modified & Optimized), but they can be used for various kind of controllers. Feel free to use this design for your remix. The mounts have been created using the model Quest 3 right controller from paul_delta, providing a perfect fit. There is no screwing required or whatsoever, one model per controller mount.AssemblyUse one-side adhesive and very thin rubber pads or tape (1mm thickness) for optimal stability, as shown in the pictures. With 2-3 of these pads the controller fits tight. As mentioned above the mounts are not suited for heavy gunstocks as the Sanlaki design with steel pipes.Print settings0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm resolution works. Anyhow I would recommend 0.15mm resolution for better visual results.I did use 20% gyroid infill and did print with Tough PLA. No problems, very stable.I did print with supports, due to the complex geometry with overhangs. I would recommend a brim for better adhesion of first layer.
