Quest 2 Koss KSC75/PortaPro Headphone Mount for BoboVR M2/M2 Pro
prusaprinters
This is a remix of fortinmike's remix to allow the headphones to mount the BoboVR M2 and M2 Pro halo straps.Unlike other designs, this headphone mount attaches to the headset by replacing the centre circular cap at the pivot point of the halo strap. The screw attaching the original cap can also be reused for the new cap. I believe this design leads to a cleaner-looking mount but the problem is that the headphones might sit a bit off from your ears depending on the shape of your head and the position of your ears. For me, the headphones sit perfectly level with my ears but you will just have to print it and try it for yourself to know for sure, unfortunately.Apart from that, the other main change I made was to reduce the screw size for the hinge to an M4 as I did not have an M5 screw on hand. The plate was not modified and so is the original file as provided from fortinmike's page, only oriented to make it optimal for printing. Some Other Background InfoI actually designed this around a year ago but only now got around to posting it. The good news is that means that I've been using it for around a year and I've had no problems with it.Print RecommendationsAll models are already oriented for optimal printing.Nozzle Size: 0.2 or 0.4mmLayer Height: 0.08-0.2mmPerimeters: 3-4Infill: I use Gyroid but feel free to use anything else.Infill Percentage: 10%Supports: NoHardware1x M4x20mm screw1x M4 washer (optional)1x M4 nutSuper GlueInstructionsFor more general installation instructions regarding this headphone mount please read fortinmike's excellent and clear instructions here: https://www.printables.com/model/62896-sturdy-oculus-quest-2-headphone-mount For my changes, it goes as follows:Super glue the Pin to the Cap. Any old super glue will do. Remember to lightly sand both mating surfaces for optimal adhesion. Let it rest for however long as instructed on the super glue container for best results.Unscrew the original cap on the BoboVR and replace it with the new cap. From there the installation instructions are the same as specified on fortinmike's page.DownloadIn addition to the 3MF files, the project's step file and fusion 360 file is included.
