Queridoo Replacement Axle Cap

Queridoo Replacement Axle Cap

This is a replacement cap for Queridoo biketrailers. It was made for our SpeedKid trailer but should fit the whole line-up. These covers are easily knocked loose when navigating through a narrow door and then subsequently get lost during riding. The cap protects the wheel detachment mechanism from dirt ingress. It is a friction fit. Has to be printed with flexible filament so the soft dome allows the center pin in the wheel to be pressed through it to remove the wheels. I printed it with the dome on top to have a nice finish with support in the middle and the outside. In Simplify3D the support resolution has to be set to 1mm, otherwise it will protrude through the dome, other than that the automatic generation works perfeclty for this print. With TPU filament the support bonds strongly and is hard to remove, for me it came out flawless with pliers. You may have to adjust the separation. The uploaded version has a dome wall thickness of 1.5mm. It is a little stiffer than the original but with 1mm thickness the dome would rip a little when removing the support. Have fun and post a pic if you print this! :)
