This project was part of my six-week position as Creator of Learning and Discovery Experiences at the Westport Library MakerSpace. Staff, patrons, and I designed and built cardboard costumes in which we dressed up as chess pieces, using a hands-on approach that brought people together. We used Autodesk 123D Catch to scan participants with precision, capturing every detail. The resulting meshes were edited with Meshmixer, making adjustments for accuracy, and then repaired with Netfabb, ensuring they were flawless. Each model was imported into Tinkercad, where we added them to the base of the chess set, carefully constructing a masterpiece.
