The Luxembourg Garden, situated in Paris's 6th arrondissement, was first established in 1612 by Marie de' Medici, the widow of King Henry IV of France, for her new residence, the Luxembourg Palace. The garden is now owned by the French Senate, which convenes within the Palace. Spanning 23 hectares, this park boasts immaculately manicured lawns, tree-lined promenades, vibrant flowerbeds, and a picturesque model sailboat basin. Visitors are also drawn to the Medici Fountain, built in 1620, featuring an enigmatic female figure believed to be either a past queen or Marie de' Medici herself. This sculpture is part of "Scan The World," a non-profit project initiated by MyMiniFactory that aims to create a comprehensive digital archive of fully printable sculptures and landmarks from around the globe for public access. Scan The World is an open-source community endeavor, inviting individuals with unique items to contribute by emailing stw@myminifactory.com to learn how they can participate.
