Human: Queen Khenemet-Nefer-Hedjet "the Great" reigns supreme from 3800 to 1710 BC, a testament to her enduring legacy. Seated perfectly frontal, with hands firmly planted on knees, she exudes confidence and poise. Her straight back leans against the pillar supporting her throne, while her head rises slightly as if gazing out at the horizon. This iconic statue embodies the traditional hieratic Egyptian style, where simplicity and elegance reign supreme. Her dress and jewelry are intricately engraved in stone, yet devoid of lavish embellishments. A queen indeed, the uraeus, or cobra, on her forehead proudly declares her status. Reared up high, it stands sentinel atop her head, adorned with an unusual open lotus cap. Her short wig cascades down in layers of soft curls, framing her ears rather than covering them. Crafted from a rich piece of diorite, the statue's polished surface glows with a subtle majesty, unpainted and unadorned yet astonishingly regal.
