To catch a queen honeybee from its comb, use 4.2mm slots that allow any accidentally scooped-up worker bees to escape while keeping the queen confined. Print parts one and two and assemble using a standard clothespin spring. The gap between them prevents squishing bees. I uploaded an updated version of part two with a more robust spacing concept at a slightly increased risk of pinching. However, this approach maintains proper alignment despite multiple height options for the original design spacer being compromised by inconsistent spring variations. Feel free to experiment and adjust these settings as desired.
