Queen Apailana Headdress

This is the headdress worn by Queen Apailana of Naboo in the Star Wars III movie Revenge of the Sith. Notes: - It is made for a 15.2cm ear-to-ear wide head and includes beads cover, so you need to scale it accordingly. - There are two versions: one full version for large printers and an uncut version, and one cut into pieces for 15x15cm printers or the cut version. - Tolerance is built in for printers with .4mm nozzles for the assembly of various parts. - Advised orientation for printing is indicated in joint pictures for both cases. - To assemble you will need to print six pins used as registration keys, or eight if using the cut version; see joint pictures for an exploded view on how to assemble. - The "eggs" are separated for ease of printing. - The pattern for the eggs should be printed flat and then softened with warm water or a heat gun to wrap it around the egg and give it the proper shape. - The center of the pattern is already aligned with the egg for registration and an easy way to center; you may need to file the center slightly for a tight fit. - A center "fin" surrounded by two holes provides support for plumes to be added to finish the headdress. - The front is intentionally longer than needed, so you will need to trim it to fit your head shape. Enjoy!
