queen ant starter nest
thingiverse
I was searching for a compact ants' nest to house my queens, but I couldn't find what I was looking for, so I decided to build one myself. At one end of the nest, I created a space to place cotton wool or sponge for hydration purposes. To give the queen some flexibility, I also designed three separate rooms where she can adjust her preferred level of humidity. I'd appreciate any feedback on this model; it's my first upload and 3D creation. Parts Required: Clear glass or a transparent material Standard 5mm fish tank airline tubing Cutting glass is relatively simple, so I recommend investing in a basic glass cutter and some old picture frame glass for cutting purposes. Additionally, leave the hydration chamber open to allow for airflow.
