QUBD OneUp PowerSupply/Board Case Mounting Brackets
thingiverse
I was assisting a buddy who has a QUBD OneUp with some assembly issues so I began tinkering. As I worked on this printer, I found that I really needed a way to mount the power supply and printer board. I had discovered an excellent PrintrBoard case and remixed it to take advantage of my printer's larger build volume, but still wanted a way to keep things steady and possibly help keep things cleaner looking. Starting with utilizing the existing M3 threaded holes in the power supply, I came up with a bracket that not only mounts it, but also will work to clamp that end of the printer together. It's a snug fit, but this fits over the end of the printer and is anchored by using the Z motor mounting bolts. I also made a channel to bring the cables for the Z and Y motors up from under the printer to right under where I mounted the board case. Leaving a little space between the power supply and the case, the bracket creates a natural cable management guide. It also includes a mount for a cable chain running from the extruder/hotend on the gantry. You can see details about how the cable chain is mounted to the fan bracket. The lower bracket alone does a reasonable job holding the board case, but I wanted to prevent any accidents and added a reinforcing top bracket that is attached to the top of the case and simply slides around the very top of the adjacent Z tower. I did attempt to get a slightly more firm attachment to the power supply for supporting the sections devoted to mounting the case, but the hole is slightly off where it was intended to be bolted on. This is a fairly strong ABS part so I'm not too concerned about missing that bolt.
