Fully working, circa 1994 Microwave, Quazar 80BP1881, microwave/hood vent combo, with a broken door release mechanism.  A few weeks before Christmas of 2018 the microwave door decided it had enough and didn't want to open.  This was devastating as we use or microwave for everything!  The microwave worked in every way except for the door… I had just gotten my MK3 a few months ago and this was the first thing I repaired with it.  I made a new door popper part.  The old one just had gotten brittle from 20+ years of use and abuse and the replacement was not available anywhere.  Sadly I do not have a pic of the broken part, never thought to take one, but the printed part is still in use almost 5 years later!  I printed the part in PETG, made a spare in case I needed one and never looked back.  Never did use the spare to this day.  A testament to how useful printers are!!!!Printed in PETG and I think 35% fill. (it's been a while since I made this)-------Correction, 100% fill. Now you are probably wondering why we just didn't throw the microwave out and get a new one.  Well our kitchen isn't the prettiest and is in need of a remodel.  We arn't ready for that as kitchens cost $$$$, so we decided to just fix and not deal with even spending any $ and time into tearing out the old and hoping to find a new one that fits in the exact space.  That printed part is almost 5 years old!
