Depicted wearing a short wig and kilt, this individual stands confidently with left foot advanced, grasping two standards firmly in hand. The right standard, now slightly damaged, was probably adorned with a representation of the Osirian triad and inscribed with the prenomen and powerful epithets of Ramses II; the left standard proudly bears the fetish of Abydos and features the nomen and impressive epithets of Ramses II. A prayer to Atum surrounds the base, imbuing the scene with a sense of spiritual significance. Prince Khaemweset, also known as Khamwese or Khaemwaset, was the fourth son of Ramesses II, born to his beloved queen Isetnofret.
