Quarton Laser CNC Alignment
thingiverse
I was considering purchasing commercial cross laser XY alignment lasers, but they're extremely pricey and not really required for my project. So, I decided to build one myself using some parts from Amazon and my 3D printer. This device holds a $30.00 laser diode and utilizes LiCB CR1/3N batteries for power. The tool chucks up nicely in a 1/2 inch collet. This is approximately version three or four, and I've already printed it, but I still need to install the switch (a 2 Position ON/Off SPDT Mini Panel Slide Switch) and the 8650 Battery Negative to Positive Conversion Spring Contact for the batteries. Those parts are still on order. If you're interested in printing this device yourself, you can use the free version of Fusion 360. However, I'm also hoping that someone with more expertise will create a remix that significantly improves upon my design.
