Quarter roll coin holder from Airborne container (spring-loaded)
thingiverse
Convert empty Airborne container into a dynamic holder for US quarters. Design is entirely flexible if you require a different container or coin size. Instructions This design was thoroughly tested and performed exceptionally with generic versions of Airborne. Printing from PLA produces a perfect fit on the bottle. If further tuning is required, modify some variables as they are extensively documented. It is feasible to print just one part by disabling the other components. Aside from 2 printed parts and the Airborne container, you will need a spring. It must not be too strong, roughly 3/4in in diameter and 3-1/4 to 3-1/2in long. Diameter can vary up to ~0.9 in, provided it fits inside the piston. P.S. A spring from within the innermost part of a low-cost plastic toilet paper roll holder purchased at Home Depot ($1.85) works remarkably well!!! You might wish to reduce the piston height variable to match the height of a fully compressed spring. Lastly, after printing you may have to fine-tune coin receptacle to ensure smoothness.
