Quarantine Mini-3D Printer was designed as a second printer, but with smaller print sizes and longer print times. It's an environmentally friendly option that consumes less than 60 watts. Without a hotbed, the working area is 150x150x120mm, making it ideal for testing smaller nozzles like 0.3 or even 0.2mm. In the download section, I'll share all the drawing files, material lists, Arduino Mega config files, and .hex files for direct upload. Cura profiles are also available. Notes: Profiles Codes - Test with a 0.3 nozzle since the printer is Ender 3 based, the profile codes are basically identical. The machine uses the amazing Mesh Bed Leveling by Marlin Firmware. If you don't need this feature, you don't need to calibrate with it enabled. To use it, simply add the line M420 S1 to your start G-code. Aluminium Structure - I assembled the printer using screws, but before that, I drilled holes and threads for them. However, it's entirely possible to assemble this printer using only printer profile parts like OpenBuilds parts to join profiles. These can be easily found on Thingiverse. STL files: My designs were created with minimal supports in mind for printing. I've made extra parts with names V2 or V3, indicating an improved version of the piece that may fit better on the machine. The Bed - The bed carriage is printed in PLA and is 10mm tall, making it very strong for the springs. I'm surprised by how well it holds up. The top bed, however, was cut using my CNC machine and is made of acrylic 6mm. It's entirely possible to print this part in PETG or even PLA if there are no other options available.
