Quanum FPV Goggle V2 Lens Holder
thingiverse
I redesigned a lens holder frame for the Quanum FPV Goggles V2 sold by Hobbyking specifically for using Fresnel lenses from Optolife.com with these goggles. Order your lenses here and cut them to size using a circular saw, like this: http://www.optolife.com/diy_projector_lens/FRL021.htmlhttp://www.optolife.com/diy_projector_lens/FRL006.html The frame is perfect for mounting 120 by 75 millimeter-sized lenses. Feel free to modify the included SketchUp file to fit your specific lens, but be sure to post back your designs as Remixes so others can use them too. I tested both FRL021 and FRL006 lenses with a 120-millimeter focal length and an 180-millimeter focal length, respectively. Personally, I prefer the one with the 180 millimeter focal length, but it's really just a matter of personal taste. As these lenses are very affordable, I suggest trying both to see which one you like best. Both of these lenses will greatly improve image clarity and reduce distortions compared to the included stock lenses. This frame also gives you a larger field of view if used as designed. Additionally, it reduces light leakages from outside the frame because this frame is just the right size to fit into the goggles.
