This vintage Qualcast side-wheel model E lawnmower was restored and dates back to approximately 1939. Equipped with a robust 10 inch 5-bladed cutting cylinder, it features a sturdy wooden handle and a shaft proudly inscribed 'Made in England, Qualcast, Guaranteed 3 years'. As an innovative company, Qualcast (an abbreviation for Quality Castings) rapidly gained success due to the affordability of their products, making them accessible to homeowners with smaller lawns seeking efficient and dependable mowers. Today, lawnmowers bearing the iconic Qualcast brand continue to be manufactured, although production has shifted out of its original location in Derbyshire.
