Quadstruder K7 - Dual Drive Extruder

Human: *update: The brass gears are showing signs of wear after just a few months of heavy use (see pictures). I highly recommend switching to the newer version of this design, which uses stainless steel gears. If you stick with this version, be sure to get extra brass gears, as they will likely need to be replaced periodically. Given that all the wear occurs on one edge of the gear, swapping the two brass gears can help double their lifespan before replacement becomes necessary.*\r\n\r\nA cost-effective 1.75mm dual drive extruder made from standard parts is available. It utilizes four drive gears, with two functioning as gears to keep the other two in sync. The secondary gear is angled to adjust pressure on the filament. Be certain to check that set screws don't interfere during assembly; shorter set screws may be required for some of the drive gears.\r\n\r\nRequired parts:\r\n* 1 x [Nema 17 Motor](https://www.robotdigg.com/product/1250/0.9-step-angle-NEMA17-stepper-motors)\r\n* 2 x [26 tooth drive gear*](http://amzn.to/2Em7jz5)\r\n* 2 x [Knurled extruder gears*](http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/N72VJIm)\r\n* 2 x [MR105 Bearings*](http://amzn.to/2EjfFHE)\r\n* 1 x [5 x 30mm Dowel Pin](https://www.robotdigg.com/product/1091/3mm,-4mm-or-5mm-needle-or-locating-pin)\r\n* 1 x [Bowden Coupler](https://www.robotdigg.com/product/348/Heavy-duty-push-fit-bowden-connector-4-01)\r\n* 1 x [M3 Heat Set Brass Insert](https://www.trimcraftaviationrc.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=75&product_id=528)\r\n* M3 screws (four M3x35mm, one M3x10mm socket cap screws)\r\n\r\nFor more information on how this design differs from other dual drive bowden extruders I've uploaded to [thrinter.com](http://thrinter.com/2wd-dual-drive-extruder-designs/), click the link.\r\n\r\nPrinted in [Esun Translucent Blue PETG*](http://amzn.to/2HaZERS)\r\n\r\n**affiliate link*\r\n
