The Quadrupole motor/generator features a single rotor with sixteen quadrature magnetic fields, housed in dual inner and outer stators. Its rotor design places permanent magnets around the segments, both radially and tangentially, to concentrate flux within these parts while minimizing leakage. This arrangement ensures that the majority of generated flux remains contained within the rotor's segments.
