Quadfoil
grabcad
The quadcopter frame incorporates NACA 4516-4512 airfoils for lift generation during forward movement, thus enhancing range. The design also minimizes drag, allowing high speeds while maintaining altitude. The airfoil angle is set between 7 and 5 degrees to counter negative pitching when moving forward. For 3D printing, split the frame and canopy in half, rotating the front half 90 degrees CW and the rear half 90 degrees CCW. Frame weight ranges from 30-50 grams depending on infill. Design software: Rhino 5.
