Quadcopter Skids
thingiverse
This is my first ever "from scratch" design for a 3d Print. I recently became addicted to flying FPV Quadcopters and purchased a Skystars Babyturtle from Bangood. As a first "real" FPV quadcopter it has been awesome but i'm terrified of messing up the bolts protruding from the frame on landing and crashing. This simple design should fit nicely under the frame and 6mm bolts will screw through the frame into the motor, (sadly i'm still waiting for delivery of the 6mm motor mount screws). This may fit other frames of course, hole centres are 8.46mm x 9.32mm and my motors are 1408's. File was designed using Blender. sadly the holes didn't print on my prototypes but this may have been due to my lack of experience as i hadn't made the model manifold. This version has been fixed (made manifold) however the holes are only 2mm so may or may not print but they are easy to drill out. I hope this helps someone out there, safe flying!
