Quadcopter Motor Wire Prop Strike Protector with optional feet
thingiverse
Tired of outdated insulation tape? Fed up with resoldering motor wires just to fix your nylon mesh/heatshrink setup? It's time to upgrade to these cutting-edge motor wire prop strike protectors! Print them in any material you like, add matching feet for hard landings, and secure them tightly to your frame with zipties. Then, enjoy the 40% turbo speed boost from your newly aerodynamic quad. As a bonus, your quad will now look like it's carrying air-to-ground ordnance, sending other park users scattering as you zoom in. Everyone comes out on top! This design fits an Armattan Marmotte frame but should work on any quad with 20mm wide arms and various lengths from 5" to 7" quads. There's also a new 16x40mm version for the Badger, so everyone can enjoy! I printed mine in TPU since that's all I had available, but printing in sun-resistant materials at finer detail will result in an amazing look and possibly lighter weight with low infill. Print these standing on their end with a wide brim for support - no supports are needed for the 16mm version, but you might need them for the 20mm ones.
