Quadcopter Motor Pliers Grip
thingiverse
I needed a way to get a good grip on my racing drone's motor so I could remove those stubborn prop nuts that had become too tight. Using pliers to grip the motor itself was an option, but it would definitely scratch up the motor in the process. So, I came up with this part. Simply place it over the motor and use large slip-joint pliers to get a firm grasp on it. Then, you can safely loosen your prop nut using your trusty prop nut tool. I printed this part out of Ninjaflex, and it worked beautifully. Any other soft, flexible, and grippy polymer should also do the trick. For those who want to get creative with their own designs, I've included the Solidworks .prt file for you to remix and customize as you see fit.
