Visit https://www.smcwall.com for 3D Printing and CAD Design services This Quadcopter is designed to aid Search and Rescue. It's flight weight is 2.5kg (with the spotlight) and can carry a payload of 500 grams. <strong>PLEASE NOTE: The base is designed to hold 2x 11.1V 3500mAh 3S RC LiPo Batteries or smaller LiPo batteries.</strong> This Frame consists of the following parts: 1x Base (can also print this as the top. Stop at 3.1mm height) 4x Arm 2x Leg Bracket L 2x Leg Bracket R 4x Leg 1x Ring (More parts will be added soon) Base - The Base is 3mm thick and is designed to be strong and light. You can also print this out as the top of the Quadcopter and then stop the print just before it begins printing the next layer above 3mm *Please note that the base is designed to hold 2x 11.1V 3500mAh 3S RC LiPo Batteries* Arm - The arm has been designed to be light and strong. Most standard motors can be mounted using the holes. Do note that you will likely need longer M3 bolts to attach the motors to the Arm Leg Bracket (L/R) - The bracket is used to mount the Leg to the Base. The holes are only suited for M3 bolts. They are designed to snap if the Quadcopter lands at a fast velocity. This helps prevent the Base or Legs from breaking from the force of a downward impact Leg - The Leg is mounted either to a Left or Right Leg Bracket. The holes are only suited for M3 bolts. They are strong and light and have a mounting hook for an elastic band. They can fold outwards towards the Arms to make it easier for transport. Similar to the mounting brackets, these Legs can take a high velocity impact but will typically snap at the hinge section Ring - The Ring is inserted between the Base and the Top of the Quadcopter and is used to keep the long Base/Arm bolts together when removing the Top for inspection. It is advised that you DO NOT use the Ring as the top by itself as there isn't enough surface area to take the stress of the Quadcopter. A high velocity manoeuvre can cause the Ring plate to warp and/or bend with the stress and could cause it to snap. FEATURES The base is designed to hold 2x 11.1V 3500mAh 3S RC LiPo Batteries or smaller LiPo batteries The arms allow LED Strip lights to be mounted on the edge and a hole to feed the wire through (Navigation lights) The Arms also allow 10w 12v LED Pads to be mounted on the end (ideal for Strobe lights) Legs can be folded making the Quadcopter easier to transport All holes are 3.1mm (suitable for M3 bolts) except identified DISCLAIMER I will not be held responsable for any damage/injury caused should any of the parts fail in flight or on the ground.
