This is an evolution of my previous design, "Pandora's box," designed for increased simplicity and minimal part count, with various improvements made to the original structural strength and reduced weight over the "Pandora" frame. Additionally, there is increased space inside the frame for electronics and a battery compartment that can accommodate a 3s 4400mah lipo as well as 2200mah (dual or single). Flight characteristics are similar to "pandora," however, the venting not only helps reduce internal heat but also appears to reduce drag or sidewind effect on the frame. Current setup: APM 2.6 6m GPS Keda 2217/20 kv860 (Turnigy rebrands these and adds a tenner for the sticker) Q-brain 25amp (will be changed to "Emax 30Amp Simonk shortly) 11x5 or 10x4.5 props (11" high stability-more thrust, 10" better response-more maneuverable) Overall, the frame flies very well, with a stable flight in the air. The weight is around 1700g mark with a 4400mah onboard, and on a 2200mah it will stay airborne with a lot of high throttle moves for about 6-7 minutes, while with a 4400mah it was around the 12 minute mark (worth noting that there aren't the youngest batteries and I'd expect to see those flight times improve notably with fresh lumps in there). The frame is also very rugged. It slammed headlong into a very thick and particularly aggressive bush while trying to push it to its top end speed, whoopsie me. The resulting damage was to props alone and a quick swap out and it was in the air again none the worse for the experience. PS: I hadn't yet fitted the arms designed for this frame in the pictures but have since done so. Will try to add a flight video when I get a chance (currently already working on a new frame..... so many ideas, so little filament lol). PPS: Please ignore the visible wires in the pictures; they're only there till I swap out the quad ESC, at which time the new Esc's will be housed inside the arm covers more or less where the wire bundles are now and the wires themselves will be trimmed back to suit.
