Quadcopter Flexbot V2.0
thingiverse
This is a brand new version of Flexbot, and we've made countless upgrades and improvements based on the previous design. For instance, the battery holder was revamped; it was previously prone to falling out when the copter dropped, which would be quite an inconvenience for users if we had made it too secure. One day, I was jamming out to music with my Beats headphones when they suddenly ran out of juice. As I swapped in new batteries, I noticed a really cool design feature - the battery cap was secured by rotating it into place. It worked flawlessly! That's where the idea for the 3D battery holder came from. The battery compartment is crucial because it serves as the copter's landing gear. To design the frame, we considered two key factors: weight and strength. Weight versus strength... well, you get the picture - our goal was to strike the perfect balance between the two. And that's exactly what we achieved with Flexbot. We spent a long time refining the design, trying out many different versions before finally settling on one that worked flawlessly. The new frame is sturdy and attractive (in my opinion, at least). We even conducted some advanced simulations to test its durability - it was quite an ordeal! The new frame incorporates several improvements, including wider motor seats for easier assembly. I've found 3D printing to be a total game-changer when it comes to making modifications. Need to change something on Flexbot? Simply sketch it up and print it out! The digital fabrication process is fast, fun, and incredibly creative - perfect for prototyping or refining designs. We're still hard at work improving the design and developing new products based on Flexbot's technology. If you have any feedback or ideas, please don't hesitate to reach out!
