My creation, weighing a total of 1.7 kg (inclusive of a 200-gram payload), showcases a remarkable flight endurance of 18 minutes. Notably, this drone possesses the capability to accurately and independently deliver its payload to specified locations autonomously. The technological core of our drone comprises the Pixhawk 2.4.8 as the flight controller and the Raspberry Pi 4 as the companion computer. Our choice of components includes the Hobbywing 40A Electronic Speed Controller and Emax BHeli BLDC motor, carefully selected to optimize overall performance.Inspired by the inherent stability of beetles, our drone's design embodies remarkable steadiness. Drawing from the leaf spring suspension commonly found in trucks, our innovative landing leg system significantly enhances the drone's stability. Moreover, we ingeniously integrated the payload carrier within the battery holder, allowing seamless operation through a servo motor. To further refine the drone's performance, I incorporated honeycomb structures into the rotor arm design, effectively reducing weight while bolstering structural integrity. Additionally, the drone body itself was fabricated using FDM 3D printing, ensuring precision and reliability in its construction. In summary, our drone project epitomizes the fusion of creativity, technological innovation, and nature-inspired design. The comprehensive integration of various components and meticulous attention to detail underscore our commitment to advancing the realm of drone technology.
