Quadcopter Arms
thingiverse
To address issues with vertically printed legs, I'll infill them with plastic before switching to horizontal printing. External wires are necessary for added strength and high torque motors. An update from April 25th revealed that vertically printed legs cannot resist torque forces; thus, I modified the design for horizontal vampire arms to print two at once. The result was a strong print with noticeable improvement in strength. For future prints, design two legs horizontally to be printed together in different colors for disguise. Use a raft for better contact with the build platform and remove it after printing. Print settings include 100% infill, 2 shell layers, layer height of .27, and a speed of 40.
