Quadcopter 250 Frame
thingiverse
A 3D-printable Quadcopterframe is available, nearly identical to the QAV250 frame. The files for this frame come with both .stl and .dxf options: print it out at 3mm thickness with .stl, or laser-cut it using the .dxf. Feel free to modify and have fun! Make sure not to use props larger than 5" so that they don't collide with the body. Update #1: New holes for the lower plate had to be made to fit ESCs properly in place of the original holes. This frame does NOT contain a Power Distribution Board, since painting conductor paths onto the board remains unknown to me. Nevertheless, those interested in making one are free to experiment and provide guidance on the process - feel free to leave comments if you're aware how it's done and wish to implement this modification on your own board! Update #2: Since my finished build is up for inspection, a design weakness with the arms has been recognized. I made some adjustments in the hope that they'll hold their shape better from now on. Consider not using high-density fiberwood due to its flexible nature, which causes easy breakage during flight - if possible, opt for materials like PC or Carbon Fiber as an alternative. These tend to be more reliable, with less likelihood of snapping when small crashes occur.
