quadcopter 22xx to 1806 motor adapter 2204 2205
thingiverse
I bought some affordable diatone X frames made of polycarbonate.\nThe only issue is that they have holes designed specifically for 22xx motors, not 1806, so I created adapters to fit 1806 motors.\nThe adapter would also work upside down, allowing 22xx motors to be fitted into a frame designed for 1806 motors.\n22xx motor bolt spacing measures 16/19mm,\nwhile 1806 motor bolt spacing measures 12/16mm.\nI used 2mm (M2) bolts for the 1806 adapters and 3mm (M3) bolts for the 22xx adapters.\nThe thickness of the material below the bolt head is 2.5mm, which means an 8mm bolt will have a 5.5mm thread exposed, usually sufficient for frames with 3mm thickness, leaving 2.5mm to screw into the motor. Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.21 Infill: 100% Notes: PLA works well; ABS may perform even better. I rotated the model in my slicer, flipping it so the disk was upside down with M2 holes facing upwards, allowing for a neat print of the bolt head area.
