A small endeavor on creating a design and conducting a static stress simulation of a simple quadcopter/drone.Designing Software : SolidworksRendering Software : Photoview 360Simulation Software : Autodesk Fusion 360Physical Materials : Polycarbonet bronze (Body) Plastic(Blades) Laminate Red Matte(Blade caps) Aluminium(Camera) Steel(Joints)Static Stress Study : When 600N of force are directed vertically from the bottom of the each hand of the drone in presence of the gravitational force opposite to the applied forces of 9.807 m/s^2 , thestress distribution(von mises) was seen along with some deformation on the blades. The safety factor didn't decrease despite applying (600x4)N of force. So, we could use weaker, less expensive materials to reduce the overall cost.Note: The design and the study may incorporate a variety of less remarkable aspects as it was a beginner approach.
