This is a Z-Axis for the Root 2 CNC 2.1, designed from scratch using materials found around the house. Motor mounts are used, one for each motor, along with two reversible mounts and two spacers. The spacers provide space for the rear flange on the nut. Print Settings: Printer: Folge Tech 2020 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .3 Infill: 40% Notes: PETG was used to print this model, but PLA would work just as well. Post-Printing: Bearing installation requires a tight fit. A hammer and a block of wood were used to press the bearings into place. The 8mm rods also require a tight fit during installation. The hole pattern for mounting is identical to the standard 2.1v Root 2 CNC Z-Axis setup.
