Quad Rod CoreXY Printer Design The Quad Rod CoreXY printer is designed to provide a more stable carriage assembly using 4 rods on the x-axis, unlike traditional designs with only two. This enhances stability through even distribution of all components across the carriage. The Z-axis utilizes a dual stepper 2-rod setup for added stability. Print volume measures 260mm x 300mm x 350mm, utilizing 1" aluminum extrusions and 3/4" liner rods paired with Thompson pillow blocks. One pillow block needs disassembly to accommodate y-axis bearings. For detailed assembly instructions, visit the MakersMic website or check out build vlogs on YouTube.
