To prevent further spindle breakages, I decided to create more using Alibre (a Solidworks alternative). The design features adjustable dimensions for an easy conversion between 8mm and 12mm spools. It was successfully printed on a Thing-o-Matic with Mk6 Stepstruder, ReplicatorG 0040/Sailfish software, 3mm ABS filament through a 4mm nozzle, 100% infill, and 27mm layers - with zero shells for optimal strength.
