Quad motor skid for 23xx, 24xx, 25xx, 22xx and 18xx size motors!
thingiverse
Mount your motors securely under them to prevent damage when quads slide on hard surfaces. Opt for a larger mounting setup if you're using powerful motors: try 19x12 with 3mm screws or 16x12 for 2mm 1806 and similar motors. Note: The updated design includes a higher skid mount (14mm) specifically tailored to Nighthawk configurations. The latest motor skids (16x16) can be used on newer motor designs as well. Before applying, make sure your motor layout matches these new skids. Instructions Choose an adhesive setting that produces a strong bond between the skid and the motors. Use .25mm thread and fine hex pattern for maximum effectiveness. Insert screws through skid mounting, then secure motors with a dash of Loctite. Ensure you don't overtighten screws; motor alignment is critical here: just a firm hold is needed to keep the motor in place. Be mindful of internal dimensions when working with 2mm thicker components: you will need longer (by about 1mm) screws, making sure they don't interfere with the windings. Limit motor casing screw-in depth to around 2mm at most. For particularly larger motors like a 2204, a 3mm thick arm can accommodate a shorter 7-8mm screw, or adjust as necessary to prevent damage from over-screw insertion.
