Quad-Link
thingiverse
This tool lets you use a Cat-cable as a four-channel multicore for analog and digital audio signals. The device sends four XLR connections through the twisted pairs of the Cat-cable. Functionality has been tested with 20 meters of Cat5e cable. Microphone level signals work both with and without phantom power, while line signals and digital AES/EBU signals also function properly. If you don't want to make the PCBs yourself, you can buy them on my website: http://diy-audio-tools.de/Quad-Link-Cat-Multicore-Platinen-Set.
