Quad Copter X-Frame
grabcad
The housing, made from aluminum, measures 4" square with a .070" wall thickness. It is designed for 0.365" wooden poplar booms. The APM 2.5 flight control board can be mounted using holes drilled in the frame. Future modifications include adding mounting bars between copter boom longitudinal axis and possibly at the front for a first person view (FPV) camera placement. Aluminum spacers will accommodate the GPS chip between the flight control board and upper electronic platform. The lower platform for the RX is subject to space and strut height considerations.
