Quad Copter

Quad Copter

thingiverse

This is my homemade quad copter featuring printable body, arduino mount, and motor mounts. The upper body design was inspired by Thingiverse's thing #24638 to accommodate an Arduino base. As it's a work in progress, designs are continuously tweaked; however, the current version is flight-ready! Aeroquad.com provided motors, props, etc., and arduino shield. Frame consists of 3/4" square tubing cut into 6" lengths from Home Depot. Radio and battery were purchased on eBay. Assembly used 10-32 bolts and nuts, while M3 nuts/bolts secured motors to motor mounts. The featured photo showcases laser-cut acrylic landing gears; however, they broke during hard landings, so I'm currently developing a printable alternative. Your mileage may vary.
