Quad camera and LED holder

thingiverse

This is a compact camera holder (HS1177 600TVL from surveilzone and similar) coupled with LED's up front for Pocket Rocket mini-quad (setup details: https://goo.gl/KsIl3n - click "translate" to view). The used LED's are found at http://www.banggood.com/1_8W-12led-COB-LED-Chip-130mA-WhiteWarm-White-For-DIY-DC-12V-p-957669.html. They're connected via a versatile step-down converter at 10V - this way they use around 4 watts in total and do not overheat (at 12V, they're incredibly bright but can melt PLA in about 15 seconds at room temperature, idle, not in flight). Bright enough for nighttime flying. This setup is suitable for any multicopter with a stand-off height of 29-30mm, and a stand-off distance of 26-27mm (many four-inch copters work well too). The camera's angle is roughly 37° and can be adjusted as needed.
