Quacks of Quedlinburg Insert v2
thingiverse
This is my second custom board game insert for the game Quacks of Quedlinburg, along with the Herb Witches and the Alchemists expansions. This insert will hold the Geek Up bits from BGG, the Geek Up bag upgrade, and will fit sleeved cards. I'm always welcome to constructive criticism, or suggestions for improvement. Feel free to comment! I approached this design as an improvelment on my first version, which is by far my most popular design. I wanted to move the cardboard to the bottom of the box, and rely on the lid to hold bits in place instead of the weirdly-shaped player boards. The end result is an insert that passed the shake test with no issues, has no lid lift, and easily holds all of the bits. The only thing that is tight on this design is the space that holds the player bags. I was able to roll them up several ways and stuff them into the provided space. I no longer have the original bags, so I'm not certain if they will fit or not As with all of my designs so far, I've designed it so the insert is flush with the lid with all components in place. It passed the shake test with flying colours, so it will allow for storage on its side. For printing, follow along with the screenshot I have posted in the pictures. It will tell you how many of each STL to print, along with approx cost and time. Everything should fit on a 220x220 print bed. The Card 1 box may need to be rotated 45 degrees to fit Update: Patella has made an updated version of a few components in my design, to allow storing the game with coin capsules. My licensing doesn't let the derivative show up, so I'm linking it here. You can download it at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4941697 . Awesome design, Patella! :) Update - 2021-11-14: I've created a set of Assembly Instructions for this insert that can be printed and added to your game box. Just a simple PDF with pictures and instructions for storing the game
