Quacks of Quedlinburg Chip Shuffler
thingiverse
This is the 7th version of the chip shuffler I designed because I sometimes had difficulty adequately shuffling the chips in the provided bag (I guess I suck at it whereas everyone else seemed to have no problems;). I love to design custom board game accessories and so I went to work on this. Previous versions are not posted because they were (at most) 60% successful, whereas this design is between 85%-90% successful in spitting out chips when used properly. You do get a feel for how to shake it for maximum effectiveness with a little practice. If you find it gets bogged down and doesn't spit out a chip after 2 empty attempts, invert the entire box (hold the lid in place and cover the piggy bank hole) and shake it then go back to normal operation; this normally releases the bind. Normal operation would be a gentle shaking forward and backward; shaking side to side isn't as useful for ensuring proper function. The lower the number of chips inside, the higher the percentage of success. I did a lot of testing (way more than I should admit to for a hobby) using 20 chips each time and had the success mentioned above. With lower numbers of chips, you might not even have to shake at all between draws. This is designed to fit in the box with inserts printed from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4038349 and the box has room for the inserts for the base game, the Witches expansion, and up to 5 of the shufflers.
