Quacks of Quedlinburg Cauldron Dispenser
thingiverse
I really liked the direction that abdklmw was headed by making a dispenser for the ingredient chips. But I thought, why not make the dispenser look like a cauldron? That would be the perfect place to store your ingredients. So I designed this dispenser to fit nicely in your hand. It will easily hold 30-40 ingredient chips, much more than will be needed. UPDATE - 06 Feb 2024I changed the design to be easier to print and more reliable to dispense. Print *_remix files instead of originals.AssemblyInsert ingredient pusher into cauldron with tab facing downward. You can insert from either side.It may take a little force to insert the first time because of the locking tab, but it will lock into place.Once inserted, the ingredients pusher will move freely. The locking tab will prevent it from coming out and getting lost.DirectionsLoad all of your ingredients into cauldron.Put your hand over the top and shake.Push ingredient pusher out fully to the side.Hold cauldron level and jostle gently side to side.Push ingredient pusher to dispense a single ingredient.RepeatI designed the model to be optimized for a 0.4mm nozzle. I printed mine at 0.28mm layer height. I really tried to figure out how to make the model print without supports, but you may need supports from bed only (depending upon how well your printer does bridging).UPDATE: 11 Oct 2023I added a small chamfer on the pusher. It was getting stuck on double pieces occasionally. The chamfer makes it so the top piece won't get stuck and it will dispense correctly.UPDATE 06 Feb 2024I completely changed the design to make the cauldron must simplier, easier to print, and more reliabled.
