In 1886, Quackenbush (U.S.) introduced the 'Bicycle Pump' rifle, a single-shot, breech-loading firearm that used black powder and cartridge ammunition. The gun was designed with a folding metal stock for easy portability as young riders pedaled their bicycles, fitting comfortably in a hip pocket. Featuring .22 caliber WRF cartridges, the 'Bicycle Pump' boasted a pivoting bolt for loading.
