Samoth's design cleverly positions the nut exactly where it needs to be for the OneUp v2, while also creating a precise cutout for the spring. Both adjustments were necessary due to the TwoUp design, and I owe a debt of gratitude to TSA_COLORADO, who generously provided an SCAD file that allowed me to make those critical changes. To speed up rendering, I reduced the screw cutouts from 100 points to 30, resulting in significantly faster processing times. If higher precision is required, simply change $fn to 100 instead of 30 for each cutout. In addition, custom support structures were added since Samoth's original design presented issues when printed with slic3r using automatic supports. This edit necessitated another SCAD file modification. To disable these support structures in your prints, it's a simple matter to comment out the marked section of the SCAD file before exporting to STL. Note that the included STL file has support structures enabled. My gratitude goes out to Samoth and TSA_COLORADO for their pioneering work, which made this adaptation possible. I extend special thanks to TSA_COLORADO for including the SCAD file in his upload – it resolved my issues and may also help others in the community. Print Settings: Printer: QU-BD OneUp v2 Rafts: No Supports: No Notes: Printed using standard 0.4mm nozzle with PLA filament. The software toolchain utilized is: SCAD -> STL -> slic3r -> gcode -> pronterface I envision that this setup should work seamlessly with any slicer/host software. Post-Printing Instructions: Carefully remove the support structures with side cutters, taking note of the marked indentation for easy identification. To complete the process, ensure the bottom and top of the support are flush with the rest of the top/bottom surface. Additionally, make sure the inside back wall is perfectly flat.
