QSI Dot Finder Mount
thingiverse
I designed a red-dot finder mount for my QSI 540ws astronomical camera that utilizes one of its existing 1/4-20 mounting screws. The L-bracket shape allows the mount to attach securely to the camera body. The mount exposes a dovetail compatible with Picatinny or Weaver rails, giving me the freedom to attach various small red-dot finders available for firearms. The dimensions of the bracket are suitable for 500-series cameras equipped with the WS-sized front cap. If your camera lacks a filter wheel or has both the filter-wheel and guide-port combination, you will need to adjust the bracket's length accordingly. I produced mine using Raptor PLA on a Monoprice Mini 3D printer.
