QSI 500 Series Cable Bracket

I designed a bracket that attaches securely to my QSI 540ws astronomical camera, ensuring that the USB-B and DC power plug remain firmly connected. This custom bracket provides a snug fit for these critical components, preventing them from wiggling loose and causing disruptions. The bracket also features a lock-down channel that effectively relieves strain on the cables, minimizing the risk of damage or disconnection. A spare #10-32 thumbscrew is included as shown, allowing users to easily secure the bracket in place. Additionally, I have provided an STL file for those who prefer to 3D print their own version. The bracket is designed to attach using the existing screws on the camera, making it a seamless addition to any QSI-540ws model or similar series 500 cameras with identical jack configurations. However, users may need to make minor adjustments to accommodate USB-B connectors of varying thicknesses. Similarly, they might want to modify the design to create a hole for accessing the ST-4 port if applicable. I printed my bracket using Raptor PLA on a Monoprice Mini, achieving optimal results with this high-quality material and reliable printer combination.
