QMC5883L Magnetometer Enclosure for Reading Diaphragm Natural Gas Meter
thingiverse
I am using a QMC5883L Magnetometer to sense the movement of the diaphragm in my natural gas meter, ultimately counting cycles (and converting to cubic feet of gas) that are then reported back to my Home Assistant server to keep track of my gas usage. Because my meter is located outside in the elements, I made this simple enclosure to protect it. Nothing fancy, but as long as the cable/open end is pointed down it ought to do the trick.
