I've always been fascinated by marble runs. Luckily for me, my kids share this enthusiasm. We've downloaded and purchased several marble run designs from various websites, but they all had some limitations or were overly complicated, making them enjoyable for adults but frustrating for children. So, I decided to create a marble run that would be fun, easy, and functional for both of us. The QuirkyMojo Marble Run has been designed with kids and adults in mind. Its basic cube design makes it simple yet versatile. Each cube has a specific function, and when combined with other cubes, the designs can become intricate and complex. This is the QuirkyMojo Marble Run Set, designed to be straightforward, functional, and most importantly, enjoyable. The set includes 9 pieces, each with its own unique feature and function. These cubes can be stacked on top of each other or connected side by side using the Cube Binder piece. Every cube has a design that illustrates its purpose. Playing with this set is best done on a smooth surface or a cutting board, as we do at my house. This allows for the best possible experience. Here are the pieces included in this set: 1. Launch Cube - This cube serves as the starting point of the run but can also be placed anywhere to accelerate the marble. 2. Straight Cube - A standard track cube that provides a straight shot from one side to the other. 3. Tunnel Cube - Similar to the Straight Cube but enclosed at the top, making it a tunnel for marbles to pass through. 4. Four-Way Intersection Cube - This cube allows traffic to flow in all four directions, creating a 4-way intersection. 5. Single Drop Cube - Receives a marble from one direction and passes it down to the next cube below. 6. Four-Way Drop Cube - Receiving marbles from all four directions and passing them down to the next cube below. 7. 90 Degree Turn Cube - A universal turn that can be used anywhere in the track design, allowing for a 90-degree change in direction. 8. Support Cube - Acts as a standard support or pass-down cube, enabling marbles to travel further distances than with a single cube. 9. Cube Binder - Interconnects cubes on top of each other and side by side without permanently linking them, facilitating connections on various surfaces. I'm always working on new additions for this Marble Run, so please check back regularly. Keep in mind that the Binder clip is relatively small, so it's best to keep it out of reach of young children. This set can be printed with no supports and prints well using PLA or PLA+ at the following settings: Bed Temp: 70c Extruder Temp: 200c Resolution: .2 or .15 (for those who are patient) If you'd like to show your appreciation, consider donating.
