Basically I printed this because i have extra 3m mask cartridges and this helps to drastically reduce the smells of printing even abs and nylon. It just uses the standard screws that hold the fan to the case, and screws straight into the plastic, no need for heat set inserts or nuts. It will replace the current metal protector back there so be forewarned. I plan on phasing this out for a vent directly outside once I move to a place with a window right next to it. The perk of this over something like the nevermore or bento box is that this draws negative pressure on all the rest of the imperfections/holes in the case, so there is nowhere else for the fumes to go. Be ready to replace the filter after some time as activated carbon does eventually lose efficacy.
